Seeds of Life: Houseplants by Margaret Cooter

Margaret Cooter drew individual plants mostly in the local park, backgrounds were given an ink wash, and traditional "sacred geometry" patterns were added with a ruler, compass and gold pen. The drawings are intended as an exercise in intense looking, with colour adding a mood, enhanced by the geometric patterns.

Margaret Cooter has a background in textiles and book arts (MA Camberwell, University of the Arts London, 2012). She now mainly works in printmaking and drawing. Her focus is sustainability, the natural world, and traditional geometry.
