Open Call Exhibition: Mythical Woods

We invite UK-based Artists to submit artworks in 2D and 3D to our upcoming Group Art Exhibition Mythical Woods - Celebrating the Woodlands and its enchanted stories and myths!​

​

The Group Exhibition will take place in Stanton Guildhouse, Cotswolds, for one year. Artists are invited to submit artworks inspired by the woodlands, drawing on its symbolism, and/or its multiple connotations while bringing us closer to nature. 

​

For centuries, the woodlands have inspired humankind and served as the backdrop for numerous intriguing and fascinating stories in mythology, folklore, and popular fiction in various cultures around the world. They portray the wilderness as a place of ambiguity, where good and evil are a matter of perspective.

 

Mythical Woods possess power and agency. Often viewed as an environment of opportunity and adventure beyond human control. They represent life, freedom, wildness, growth, and rebirth, but they also signify danger, risk, and the hope of survival.

Each entry costs £30 for up to 3 artworks

Every entry plants a Tree to help reforestation in the Amazon Rainforest.
